Legal Professionals

From the first-years who need support strategies to avoid burn out, to the seasoned attorneys who want to boost their firm’s productivity, Koppett specializes in implementing tools and techniques that improve team performance and keep teams limber.

Artificial Intelligence Can’t Replace the OG AI: Authentic Interaction

AI is being embraced and the power of these tools is undeniable. But while mastering the latest digital tools is now key to any firm, the practice of law is won by humans.

Even when you adopt the newest technology, every legal professional needs to bring a commanding presence. From the court to a complex client negotiation, every team needs to hone the dynamic, interpersonal skills that separate good practitioners from exceptional leaders. Skills that are getting lost as teams become more digital.

These are learnable, concrete skills, supported by decades of research in organizational psychology, communication, and negotiation, and this program treats them with the analytical rigor they deserve.

Drawing on methods developed over twenty years with organizations like Apple, NASA, PwC, and the Clinton Global Initiative, Koppett provides attorneys with the tools to respond to the unexpected, lead with authority, and communicate with unshakeable clarity.

Led by an Industry Pioneer the work is guided by Kat Koppett, author of Training to Imagine, a foundational text in applied improvisation, currently in its 3rd edition and in use as a textbook in many university undergraduate and MBA programs. She holds a B.F.A. in Drama from NYU and an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.

How It Works

Advocacy and leadership are learned through practice, feedback, and refinement.

Our programs utilize applied improvisation. This takes the rigorous disciplines of improvisation (presence, active listening, rapid adaptation, and real-time collaboration) and applying them directly to high-stakes professional environments. Sessions are centered on structured exercises, deep reflection, and actionable coaching, specifically pitched to the analytical mindset of attorneys.
